Hi there! I’m Tanis Zamora, and my network marketing passion began in 2007. From the moment I was introduced to the industry, I fell in love with its potential.
Despite the current negative perception of network marketing, I remain fully committed. Why? Because I believe network marketing itself was never the problem. I believe the real fault lies in what people turned it into.
I grew up in a family of seven—me, my parents, my two brothers, and my two sisters. We were your typical hard-working crew. Each of us focused on the usual 40-hour workweek.
None of us had an entrepreneurial mindset; our computer skills were pretty basic, and we definitely didn’t know much about network marketing back then.
Back then, you hardly ever heard about network marketing. Yes, a few folks sold Avon or Tupperware, but it was just a side hobby—no business cards, no home parties.
During my childhood, this competitive spirit often caused problems. I did things that seem odd now. For example:
In 2007, I received a business card for a “how to make extra money” meeting. When I showed up, it was a network marketing meeting. It was what I now call “love at first pitch!”
I immediately began picturing how I could make this business work. The vision was crystal clear.
I felt like I could walk out of that room, shout about the opportunity, and everyone would come running to sign up. To me, it seemed like the chance of a lifetime to build passive income.
Nobody could convince me that success required more than just finding the right company. So, in those ten years, I joined three different companies: Your Travel Biz (YTB), My Power Mall, and World Global Network (WGN). I ended up failing in each one.
In 2017, I realized I wasn’t doing what the network marketing pros were doing: running my own website.
Since I knew nothing about websites, I read books, watched countless YouTube videos, and took every course I could find.
I spent hours—even during work breaks—learning to build and run websites. Eventually, I created three network marketing sites:
In 2019, I shut down my websites and gave up on network marketing altogether. Still, I continued attending events, watching YouTube videos, and reading books on the subject.
One day, while scrolling through YouTube, I stumbled upon something new to me: Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Suddenly, everything clicked. I realized why my websites had failed.
But by then, it felt too late to start over from scratch. Even so, SEO fascinated me—like a competition to rank on Google—so I kept learning purely for my own interest.
For the next year, I felt like I had most of the puzzle pieces: I knew about network marketing, could build a website, and understood how to attract traffic.
But something was still missing—how to make network marketing work. I kept wondering, “How do you succeed in network marketing?”
That’s when I tried something different. I started talking to many people involved in network marketing but pretended I knew nothing about it.
I wanted to discover why people weren’t interested in what I saw as a golden opportunity. The answers I got were astonishing. It finally clicked why no one else saw network marketing like I did.
I finally discovered the missing key to succeeding in network marketing. It had been right in front of us the whole time, yet no one seemed to notice.
It all became crystal clear to me, and I couldn’t understand why nobody else saw it. Here’s what I realized when I put myself in the prospect’s shoes:
By 2021, the pandemic had arrived, and business slowed down. Bills were piling up. I was in some network marketing Facebook groups, and opportunities were exploding.
Everyone wanted to start an online business. I wondered, “What if I had stayed with network marketing?” But I felt it was too late. Still, I couldn’t shake the thought. I told myself, “Maybe I’ll start again one day.”
In June of 2024, I felt completely overworked. I managed nine restaurants for a chain at the time, and getting over fifty calls daily was common.
One morning, while I was cleaning the pool, I decided to call my hosting provider to see if any of my old websites could be recovered. The rep told me they couldn’t be restored, but he could see a snapshot.
That comment stuck with me. It reminded me that even if our own work doesn’t seem all that impressive to us, it might be the holy grail to someone else.
I started watching even more YouTube videos about network marketing, website design, and SEO because I felt motivated to give it another shot. I knew I just needed a final push.
One day, while scrolling through videos, I stumbled on someone I’d never heard of: Alex Harmozi. At first, I thought it was a weightlifting video. Then I realized it was about business, so I clicked on it.
The video was long, but I couldn’t sleep afterward because my mind was racing with new ideas. That was the final push I needed to finish my goal of succeeding in network marketing!
In November 2024, I decided to go all in. I promised myself that I would keep going this time, no matter what. As Les Brown says, “It ain’t over till I win!” My goals are simple:
“I believe anyone can succeed in network marketing with the appropriate mindset, training, and support.” -Tanis Zamora
